HP is continuing its leadership in the eight-way server market with
the introduction of the new HP ProLiant DL740 and the second-generation
HP ProLiant DL760. The new additions to the industry-standard HP
ProLiant DL700 series features the HP F8 chipset, hot-plug RAID
memory capabilities and HP ProLiant Essentials management software.

Compaq Computer's Tru64 Unix operating system and Hewlett-Packard's
Netserver IA-32 servers, Jornada handhelds and Omnibook notebooks
are among the products being phased out as a result of HP's acquisition
of Compaq, the companies said Tuesday as they unveiled the product
road map of the new HP.
